In the early winter of 2020, tragedy struck our family when we lost our beloved father. In the grip of mourning, the long arduous process of settling his estate began. Then COVID hit, making everything harder to navigate. Long weekends spent traveling back and forth between his home in Tennessee and ours in Georgia. Figuring out what to feed a large group of people turned into a challenge. The boys settled on BBQ and chicken. We started smoking butts, turkeys, brisket, and chicken putting our own spin on everything we did. It wasn’t long before we realized we were on to something “shady.” It’s BBQ but different. Everything you taste and smell will be familiar with a twist. We hope you like it. Rest assured, a lot of heart goes into each and every meal because when we cook for you, we are also cooking for Dad.
